Largoward by St Andrews

There are many lovely places to visit in and around the East Neuk of Fife including Crail, Elie, Anstruther and the historic town of St Andrews.

We are located in Largoward which is an agricultural and former mining village, one of the three main villages of the civil parish of Kilconquhar, along with Colinsburgh and the village of Kilconquhar.

Coal must have been worked for a considerable length of time in the district, as it is recorded that coal was driven annually from Falfield, just north-west of the village, to Falkland Palace for the use of King James VI. Falkland is a lovely village to visit, it has quaint shops and coffee houses the centrepiece of the village being the Palace, a National Trust building open to the public.

There are some of the worlds finest golf courses in thethe surrounding area, why not try our local challenging course at Colinsburgh, Charlton golf club is only a 10- minute drive away.
